Everyday cleaning
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a pH-neutral soap. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners — no vinegar, no bleach, no scouring pads. Dry the surface afterwards rather than leaving water to pool.

Cast concrete is durable, not indestructible. A little attention keeps a piece reading right for decades. Here is what we tell every owner.
Sealing
Your piece leaves the studio sealed. Indoor pieces rarely need resealing. High-use surfaces such as dining tables benefit from a fresh coat every one to two years. We can advise on the right sealer, or reseal a piece for you.
Spills and stains
Concrete is porous by nature, and our UHPC far less so than most. Wipe spills promptly — oil, wine, and citrus are the usual culprits. A sealed surface buys you time; an unsealed one does not.
Heat and scratches
Use trivets under hot pans and felt under anything that drags. It is the sealer, not the concrete, that marks — and a scratched sealer can be refreshed.
Outdoor pieces
Outdoor concrete lightens and develops a patina over time. This is normal and, to our eye, part of the appeal. Cover or store lighter pieces over a wet winter if you would rather hold the original tone.
Patina and ageing
Every piece carries the hand that made it, and in time it carries the life it is given too. Small marks settle into the surface. We make pieces to be used, not guarded.
